Following the series of successful International Workshops held in Vienna in 2005, Stanford in 2010 and Nottingham in 2012, we are pleased to host the fourth Workshop on Modern Trends in Geomechanics (IW-MTG4). The format of IW-MTG4 will follow the established workshop tradition in which presentations are given by invited leading experts in various fields of geomechanics, including constitutive modeling, experimental geomechanics, analytical and numerical methods, micromechanics, coupled multiphysics processes and engineering applications. About 40 speakers have been invited to present at the three-day workshop. Research students and young researchers are also encouraged to attend the workshop so that they can present their work within a poster session.
